Absentee ballots are now available for the Annual Town Election, according to Town Clerk Andrea Carlson.
The election will be on Thursday, April 12 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Recreation Center on Union Street. State law says that you may vote absentee if a voter is absent from Hamilton on Election Day, can’t get to the polls because of a physical disability or religious belief. There is early voting for some elections but not for the town election.
Positions to be decided on the ballot include Board of Selectmen, Moderator, Board of Assessors, Planning Board, Library Trustees and School Committee.
Voters can come in to the Town Clerk’s office during regular Town Hall hours and request an absentee ballot up until April 11 at noon.
