Burn Permits - Fire Department issued Open Burning Permits are now available online! Open burning will be from January 15, 2020, through May 1, 2020, as in year’s past. Each day during the open burning season, permit holders will need to register online on days they want to burn. You can find directions on the town website by going to the Fire Department page in the related link section midway down on the page. For anyone without access to a computer, permits can be processed at the station on a limited basis only.

Bonfire Has a New Date and Time

The Ceremonial  bonfire “Christmas trees” has been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m. at Patton Park. There will be fun and games starting at 5PM and the fire will commence at 6PM.

Restored Cannons Return to Patton Park

The newly restored cannons are back in place at Patton Park. The two cannons returned earlier this week to the park, between the parking lot and Bay Road, near the pool and pond. Weather Forecast Causes Cancellation of Block Party

The Community Block Party scheduled for Saturday, June 23 at Patton Park has been cancelled due to the weather forecast, according to Rec Director Sean Timmons. It will be rescheduled for later this summer and the town and The Community House will make an announcement as soon as there is a new date.

Applications Being Accepted for Pool, Summer Camp Jobs

There are many available jobs for the upcoming summer at the Hamilton-Wenham Recreation Department. The department is accepting applications for gate attendants for the pool, pool lifeguards and counselors for the Patton Park program.
