On November 2, 2020, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker signed three new COVID-19 related orders into action:

COVID-19 Order No. 53  Requiring Early Closing for Certain Businesses and Activities, Limiting Hours for Alcohol and Adult Use Cannabis Sales, and Modifying Chapter 138 License Renewal Requirements – This order requires that certain businesses close to the public by 9:30 p.m. Businesses subject to this order include restaurants (delivery and take out excluded), movie theaters, fitness centers, amateur sports activities and golf facilities.

COVID-19 Order No. 54 Revised Order Further Regulating Gatherings in the Commonwealth –  This order limits gathers at private residences to a maximum of 10 people indoors and 25 people outside. For gatherings at event venues and in public settings, the indoor limit is 25 people and the outdoor limit is 100 for lower risk communities and 50 for all other communities. *Please note that this order excludes all municipal legislative bodies, meaning that the November 14 Special Town Meeting will go forward as planned.

COVID-19 Order No. 55 Revised Order Requiring Face Coverings in Public Places – This order requires all persons over the age of 5 to wear a mask or cloth face covering over their mouth and nose when in a public location, whether indoors or outdoors.
