HAMILTON – The Board of Assessors has completed a state mandated revaluation of all properties for fiscal year 2019. The Town of Hamilton was issued preliminary certification by the Department of Revenue’s Bureau of Local Assessment on November 8, 2018 and has been authorized to begin the public disclosure process.

The revaluation is intended to reflect the full and fair cash value of all properties as of January 1, 2018, using calendar year 2017 market data. As a result of this revaluation, the average single family assessment has increased from $ 566,413 to $ 600,400. The average commercial/industrial valuation has increased from $ 907,000 to $ 958,900.

The new assessments will be available for review by taxpayers starting Thursday, November 8, 2018 through Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Assessor’s Office, Town of Hamilton’s website as well as the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library at 14 Union St.
