All appointed positions are approved by the Select Board through a formal vote, following a written recommendation from the Chair of the relevant committee to the Select Board for consideration.

Compliance and Legal Obligations

To ensure all appointments meet legal requirements and town processes, please note that positions are not official until they have been approved by the Select Board, ethics training has been completed, a required CORI background check is completed, and the Town Clerk has fulfilled all legal requirements, which ends with taking the Oath of Office for the appointed term. We appreciate your patience through the official appointment process, and we are grateful for your commitment to public service.
