The Hamilton Board of Selectmen has established a new Open Space Committee and is looking for 4 additional members from various sectors of the community. Currently the BOS has appointed to the committee Richard Boroff representing the Planning Board, George Tarr representing the Conservation Commission and Sean Timmons representing the H-W Rec Board. The committee has been tasked with updating and maintaining the Town’s Open Space and Recreation plan. There is a draft version of the current plan which requires checking and adding of current pieces of information. Candidates will need to be detail oriented, interested in various aspects of open space, willing to commit to meetings on a regular basis and able to complete tasks by mutually acceptable deadlines. Candidates may have a background or interest in such areas as real estate, the environment, play grounds, trail development and usage, as well as many others. Candidates will need to be able to work well in a committee setting, be open minded, able to discuss and compromise and be respectful of other members even when they do not agree.
