Eastern Essex Regional Public Health Coalition (EERPHC)
The Town of Hamilton is the host town The Eastern Essex Regional Public Health Coalition (EERPHC) is a shared services partnership funded by the Massachusetts Public Health Excellence (PHE) grant, bringing together the towns of Hamilton, Wenham, Essex, and Rockport. The coalition strengthens local capacity by sharing skilled regional staff and standardizing key public health services.
The Regional Social Worker provides direct support to residents in need, offering a place to discuss concerns while helping navigate local, state and federal resources. They also collaborate with schools, councils on aging and first responders to assist vulnerable individuals and families.
The Regional Health Inspector supports the member towns by conducting food, housing, pools, and nuisance inspections, responding to complaints, and enforcing public health codes. This role enhances consistency and helps address inspection backlogs across the towns.
The Regional Epidemiologist leads disease surveillance and response efforts across the coalition, managing cases through the MAVEN system, analyzing public health trends, and coordinating with state and local partners to support data-driven decision-making.
Through this regional approach, the EERPHC delivers more responsive, coordinated, and equitable public health services to its communities.
